We are looking for a Credit Analyst Trainee in Irvine, CA. This role focuses on conducting credit investigations and analyzing credit information pertaining to loans.
Essential Functions:

Conduct credit investigations and analyze credit information pertaining to loans.

Investigate all available sources of credit and financial information, including reporting services, credit bureaus, other companies, main office and branches files.

Analyze financial statements, financial conditions and trends.

Review and report non-compliance with loan covenants.

Determine cash flow using appropriate tax analysis.

Prepare summaries, present facts and offer opinions concerning credit-worthiness.

Provide credit information and references for customers, loan officers, or other agencies as requested.

Ensure that all credit files include proper documentation including current financial statements, agency reports, etc.

Maintain control over current accounts, noting payment progress, watching for any developing problems and keeping loan officers informed.

Write credit memorandums.

Accompanies lenders on business calls.

Conduct industry research as needed.

Assist with special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
-
Requires a Bachelor's and 6+ months of credit analysis experience, lending/credit procedures and processes or other directly related experience. A combination of education and experience may meet requirements.

Basic knowledge of financial statements and general analysis gained through college coursework.

Limited use and/or application of basic credit concepts.

Ability to work with lending officers and staff.

Good communication skills, both verbal and written.

Ability to make sound decisions regarding loans.

Good PC skills required.

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $60,000 - $73,000 annually depending on job-related factors such as level of experience.
