We are looking for a Capital Markets Investment Banking Analyst in El Segundo, CA.  

Essential Functions: 

  • Functions as a Capital Market Investment Banking Analyst on supporting senior bankers in the research, origination and execution of various capital markets products and services.

  • Assist with preparation of marketing and pitch materials. Assists with preparation of materials needed to support the deal (e.g. opinions, research, analysis, accounting memos, offering memoranda, proposals, etc.).

  • Research and track market trends, comparable transactions, etc.

  • Evaluate and report risk for pipeline deals and active portfolio.

  • Partners with internal constituents to ensure policies and procedures are followed for review and approval of the deal throughout the lifecycle (e.g. Credit).

  • Maintain relationships with clients and investors (where applicable).

  • Other duties as assigned. 

 

Qualifications:  

  • Requires a Bachelor's in business, accounting, finance, math or a related field and no experience (College Undergrad Placement) with strong interest and knowledge of finance and investment banking (e.g. Corporate Finance Solutions, Loan Syndications, Real Estate Capital Markets, and Power & Project Finance) or other directly related experience. A combination of education and experience may meet job requirements.

  • FINRA licensing will be required.

  • Prior completion of accounting or finance coursework highly desirable.

  • Strong interest and knowledge of finance and investment banking (e.g. Corporate Finance Solutions, Loan Syndications, Real Estate Capital Markets, and Power & Project Finance).

  • Superior analytical and organizational skills.

  • Ability to manage several projects at once.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Solid business development, negotiation, leadership and interpersonal skills.

  • Superior written and oral communication skills.

  • Ability to work well in a fast paced environment.

  • Ability to work independently and drive toward a completed end product.

  • Strong Microsoft office skills, especially excel.

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $90,000 - $100,000 annually depending on job-related factors such as level of experience.
