We are seeking a Business Center Manager to join California Bank & Trust in Brea, CA. The Business Center Manager plays a key role in overseeing branch operations, driving business development and financial growth, and leading a high-performing team to deliver exceptional client service while ensuring regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Directs branch sales, operations, and regulatory compliance to meet lending, deposit, and fee income targets.
- Mentors and develops branch staff, guiding performance evaluations, promotions, talent development, and salary recommendations.
- Advises clients on customized credit, deposit, and banking services to effectively address their financial goals.
- Formulates programs that maximize branch profitability, mitigate operational risk, and elevate customer service standards.
- Cultivates and expands client relationships through active inside and outside business development initiatives.
- Evaluates portfolio risks and branch reports to ensure ongoing compliance, accuracy, and adherence to credit terms.
- Manages the underwriting, processing, and approval of loans within established authority limits.
- Represents the bank in local community development and public relations activities to build strong brand presence.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Requires a Bachelor's in Business Administration, Finance or a related field and 5+ years of banking management and lending or other directly related experience. A combination of education and experience may meet requirements.
- Business Development experience preferred.
- Strong background in branch management, operations, procedures, commercial/retail banking products, and lending requirements.
- Demonstrated expertise in financial industry, sales and business development methodologies.
- Proven leadership capabilities with the ability to manage, inspire, and develop a diverse staff.
- Exceptional decision-making skills with a track record of mitigating operational and credit risk.
- Excellent relationship-building, communication (written and verbal), and problem-resolution skills to support clients and internal teams.
- Deep understanding of local and national banking laws, compliance, and regulatory frameworks.

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $117,990 - $150,000 annually depending on job-related factors such as level of experience.
